Family Law obligations of parents in these uncertain times – By Susan Fridey

Many parents are unsure as to their obligations to facilitate time between the other parent and their children.

The Chief Justice of the Family Court has released a statement outlining the Court’s position in relation to the issue of parent’s complying with existing family law orders. This information notice can be viewed at the following web address:

It is apparent that parents must comply with existing Orders unless there are real health and safety issues impacting on the child or their immediate household occupants. It is unlikely to be sufficient to simply state you wish to isolate the child as a personal preference. Should you have any doubts please do not hesitate to contact our office for specific legal advice.
