Wightons Lawyers is one of the longest serving legal practices in Geelong, established in the 1890’s when James Wighton first started practising law in the area. During the 1920s, James Wighton merged with the practice of Allan McDonald and the firm Wighton & McDonald was born. Wighton & McDonald remained as one of Geelong’s premier law practices until 2000, when we re-branded to simply ‘Wightons Lawyers’.

Wightons Lawyers has played a major role in the history of Geelong, providing trusted legal services for over the past 130 years. Our experience and heritage has guided us to refine Wightons Lawyers into the practice it is today, a firm committed to offering a wide range of legal services that focuses on relationships and positive legal outcomes.

We have offices across Geelong, Bellarine, the Surf Coast, and surrounding regions with our head office conveniently located in the heart of Geelong.

Commercial Clinic

We offer a free ‘after-hours’ legal advice clinic every Wednesday at our Geelong office. Our Commercial Law Clinic appointments are for 15 minutes, are by appointment only, and subject to availability.

Family Law Clinic

For Family Law clients we offer a dedicated Family Law clinic at our Geelong, Ocean Grove and Corio offices. At select times we provide a free 30-minute initial consultation. Our Family Law Clinics are by appointment only and subject to availability.
